If you eat the same meal here as you had in Thessaloniki, you will definitely pay twice the price. Car parking is a serious issue. If you want to eat in an overcrowded decent place, you need a reservation.

Amazing city - pleasant walks next to the sea, great views, nightlife, delicious food. Restaurants to visit - Zourafa, for amazing sea food, Λούκουλος - with tables next to the sea. You need to make reservations.
Parking is difficult in the center, need to use a paid parking place. You can take a walk on the Apolloniados street that gets closed for cars in the evening.

I guess it is the right city for beach vacations.
I guess it is the right city for beach vacations. Not much to do If you are looking for historical attractions I would not rate Alexanroupoli high. It has a few very small museums. Two of them I've visited. It is possible to walk to them. One at the city center ethnography museum. I'd recommend visiting. It won't take a lot of time, but the atmosphere there is nice.
Also, there is a small archeological museum, something like 2,5 km away from the center.
The local tavernas has a tasty food. the prices are reasonable.
The beaches are slightly out of the city, but not too far. Nice sand

A great place for beach life and to explore the area, take a trip off the main drag and explore the mountains and plains for the area , its was busy in the centre off season, prepare for crowds when the summer hits. restaurants in the area are hit and miss with prices around 30 euro for two for a very basic meal ,without alcohol in 2023, want fish or seafood then add a lot more. I cant believe they are still charging 2-3 euro for a small portion of bread which seems to be mandatory, english not spoken everywhere, bring your phase book. easy access to islands if you can find a place to book your ferry.
The hotel is spacious most of the rooms have great sea view the air conditioning is pretty good it is able to keep the room cold. The beds were the biggest I have seen in a hotel. Plenty of parking space good location alway from noise but still you need car to get to the center of the city which is about 7-8km west or to get to the best beach in the region located near ammo ammo beach bar which is located 6-7km east of the hotel. The staff was very good and friendly.
The location of the hotel was great, walking distance to the city center, right on the beach. The staff was polite and friendly.
Not a value for money hotel even in the low season.
We wanted to extend our stay one more night but could not get a good rate, so we have to make another reservation from a different online travel agent, by this way we have saved Eur 11, I am not sure how much the hotel lost.
I would stay here again only if I get a good rate.
It’s a great hotel for families. We were travelling with our two year old daughter and had no difficulties at all. The hotel and the staff is very child friendly. Our daughter was so happy to recieve a soft toy parrot from the receptionist upon arrival. The breakfast was diverse and delicious. The staff is very helpful and kind. They took our booking notes seriously and gave us an intersecting room.
Kostas is one of the best hosts i ve ever met. The apartment is phenomenal! very good value for money. It is perhaps one of the top properties in Alexandroupolis very nice place in the center of the town . I will visit again he is an amazing artist on the field . Apartment had really all the possible solutions for everything one family might need . Excellent stay highly recommended !
We stayed for 1 night before moving to Thessaloniki. The hotel was partially empty. Since it was not the sea season yet, we spent time sitting peacefully on the beach. I'm sure it's a great environment in the summer. It was literally an Aegean town hotel. It had a bit of a nostalgic atmosphere, but I think it would be very good for those who want to go on holiday with children.
The host was most kind, helpful and yielding. There was a free parking place near the apartment. The street was peaceful and quiet though very near the promenade. The apartment -and the whole building - was modern and clean. We stayed there two nights instead of one.
Alexandroupoli became one of my favorite cities in Greece. The ferry to Samothraki left near-by.
The hotel is clean comfortable. The room is big enough to stay with a three year old. Breakfast buffet is very nice. Staff is very friendly. They gifted my daughter a little teddy bear upon arrival that is a great gesture. We came off season in November so we didn’t use the pool or the beach. Overall it is a good experience. I would stay here again.
The place as a whole. The room was tidy and cosy. Everything was new, including the batteries of the remote controls. The bathroom was nice and all the furniture was new. The staff of the hotel have been friendly and our stay was beyond expectations. I will definitely visit Alexandroupoli again and will book the Dias hotel for my stay.
Great hospitality : Staff was very kind and wait me in late night till i arrive
to Hotel from far a way and giving them best to make me comfortable
Great location & Very comfortable room & good breakfast.İ safisticat all.İt was Great experience .Thanks for all
The hotel was great, quite relaxing and peaceful. Staff was very friendly. Hotel has everything you may need. Tasty and rich breakfast. It is near the sea and a little outside the city, the nature and the view is beautiful.
Th hotel is walking distance to sea shore where most of the taverns and coffee shops are. Very clean and comfy room. Very satisfying open buffet breakfast. Also car parking infant of the hotel.
beds must be changed... except that, hotel is excellent. location, breakfast, stuff, cleenliness, all are more than satifying... for the shower or general, soap can be diversified.
Beautifully furnished, clean and comfortable apartment in a great location in Alexandroupolis, near to everything. Sakis is a great host, always responsive to anything we'd need.
